I wasn't going to watch Big Brother, But... If they're going to be pulling knives on each other, then that may be some entertainment I can get behind.

Thought 1:
He looked like an asshole when I saw him in the 10 minutes of the premier I watch. "JustIncredible" my ass.

Thought 2:
Ratings Boost!! I wonder if he pocketed cash from CBS to jump ship purposely in a dramatic way.

Check out The Club House for a message board/transcript of everything that led to this. Such minute detail. I am going to read this board instead of paying 20 dollars to see the live feeds.

*Tsk* They always get rid of the interesting ones first.

Wish Sarah-Marie would knife pussy Blair and boofhead Ben in the Aussie version.

The end of the article was more *interesting*: whipped creamed bodies in a hot tub, oral sex discussions. Bleh. Who ARE these people?

"Would you get mad if I killed you?"

"No. But I want some water."

To hell with just booting the guy; he ought to be indicted.

obiwanwasabi -- I predict Sarah Marie will get booted this weekend. It's Ben or Blair for the quarter mill..

I think Ben will be first off and it'll end up as an "Aussie Bloke" VS "Aussie Chick" in the final denouement.

Here's a screen capture from the Big Brother house showing the knife wielding incident.... just for those interested!

You gotta love Yahoo's prudence:

[...] booted one of the contestants, after he allegedly pulled a knife [...]

Come on! How many camera's are on him again?

Maybe it was a prop knife.

There's also been speculation and accusation among critics, and practical admission by the show itself, that the HGs have been "coached" or sereptitiously directed to perform before the cameras in certain ways. Last year the contestants WERE technically each awarded a "salary" of approximately $250 per week for each week they were in there. That amount has been increased to $750 per week according to Kent, one of the "HouseGuests" presently still in the house. Another HouseGuest, Bunky, indicated during the live video feeds that in reference to mentioning Brittany of Big Brother One, "I know we're not supposed to talk about this but..." and soon after he did say this, the live feed went to the Front of the House (FOTH) which indicates conversation or activity that the producers don't want the public to see.

And because we DID see Justin and Krista's questionable banter, despite the producers' constant tendency to censor other things, that indicates they WANTED us to see it. Almost as if it were planned.

Further, two other HouseGuests, Mike & Will, have been caught more than once half-joking about making plans to actively invent scenarios and provide 'material' for the producers to use. Will even joked that during a live performance he would accuse Julie Chen of making a pass at him, when in fact she obviously would not be. And of course it's been reported in the press that Arnold Shapiro did hire writers and "story editors" who have background in writing daytime soap operas. Their job is to help organize and use the live footage of what happens in the house to "create plot arcs" that would move evenly from one episode to the next. As if this were Hill Street Blues or ER.

The end result makes it little more than what appears to be a low budget clone of All My Children. Now, last year I found myself constantly defending the first season of Big Brother. I personally found it very interesting, a lot of fun, and even inspiring to see the ten strangers start off rocky, but eventually build a unique and loving community in which peace was chosen over conflict. This time around Shapiro purposefully chose people who chose conflict over peace.

Granted, many of you may now find Big Brother Two worth watching. In the weeks to come things might get worse instead of better. Justin's not the only troublemaker in there. For me, this show has become little more than Jerry Springer meets The Brady Bunch.

Well gee, ZachsMind, for something that doesn't interest you much, you sure know a lot about it. :-)

Why hasn't reality TV died yet? This stuff is just wretched, invented, melodramatic codswallop. Even the granddaddy of reality, The Real World, has finally hit level rock bottom. (And that's a tough admission for a die-hard Bunim-Murray addict to make.) We've had enough. There is no more reality there. There is no there there. Pull the plug. Kick them out, vote them off, turn it off. Blech.

This nothing compared to what Big G is going to do to Paul when he leaves the house. You mean you weren't talking about the British Big Brother?

Dreama, you forgot to write "but that's just my opinion..." :-)

Some people actually like the stuff...That's why its on TV. Television producers are worse than politicians when it comes to throwing the baby out with the bathwater to cater to a crtain demographic.

Alright, you can all throw your pies at me now. ;-)
