You seem to be looking for affirmation here, not information. What you seem to want is for people to tell you that it's OK to do what you've clearly already decided to do.

What I wish I had known more about when I was just beginning my career job 35 years ago related to long-term investments. The need for retirement planning didn't really click in my head until ten years later, so I lost that decade of investment opportunity. A while ago I read about Virgin's company VirginMoney which is designed to do exactly this, I haven't used it however, so can't vouch for it. The concept seems sound enough though and they're not a fly by night operation. . .

Holy Cow! I had only the vaguest memory of that show; it was broadcast in 199 freaking 7, and I found it! This guy was fascinating on cat psychology. I don't know if there's an audio archive, but there's information about his book, and a search on him would be profitable. Good luck.

I travel 2-4 few times a month, often for one-day in-out marathons, and rarely for more than 3 nights at a time. Having a good breakfast is important. I often find that I am forced to miss lunch because of long meetings or insufficient break times. I try to pack a small supply of dried fruit and cereal bars, just in case. I speak from experience that yes, you can send most anything as long it has a readable address and proper/correct postage. Look, traffic court isn't an episode of Law and Order. The more humble and contrite you can be, the better off you will be fighting a ticket. You were apparently clocked going almost twice the speed limit, so even if you could prove faulty radar, it probably isn't that much off. You might be able to go to traffic school to keep the points off your license, but you will still have to pay the fine and your insurance company can still see it when they renew your policy.

I don't see any problem with rationing postings severely, and I don't see the two-week limit being a drawback.

I think the drawback is that it's made AskMe flipping boring. There are now stretches of hours when only a few new questions are posted. And the questions are no longer of the "Hey, I've always wondered that too!" variety, but now tend to be more focused on mundane-but-pressing issues specific to the askers.... [more]

Stadium events, both for television and in general for sports, are extensively scripted before the event begins. I work for Texas A&M University in the Athletics department, and every one of our games features a flyover by an air wing with at least one former-Aggie member. My job role doesn't directly deal with the video department, but my office is next door.
