5& 1/2 hour no-knead bread

Mark Bittman updates the no-knead bread recipe to make it faster, healthier. For the four of you that don't read Lifehacker or Mark Bittman's pieces in the New York Times, but who love baking bread.

Need help with photoshop workflow

I'm a photoshop newbie. I recently came back from vacation and have close to 1500 pictures on my harddrive. It's overwhelming just thinking about filtering, organizing, and editing the pictures. What is you guys' workflow when it comes to managing and editing large amount of pictures. I don't want to edit all of them. I just want to pick out the ones I like and edit those but there are just way too many pictures to go through.

reinventing the quiz

Im producing a website for a client and they want a quiz on their site, but they dont want the ordinary multiple choice kind of thing. I cant seem to reinvent the genre by myself, so please hook me up with sites that display a novel approach to the quiz.

Streaming audio from former Soviet Georgia.

Streaming audio of traditional music from the former Soviet republic of Georgia. This is some of the strangest, most haunting and blissed-out singing you can hear on this planet. (And check out those swell outfits, fellas!)

Essential.... essential.... essential...

Since 1993, Pete Tong has been hosting the Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. A group on imeem seems to have uploaded them all. Tracklistings here. Some of the best of all time: Carl Cox - 1996 (tracklisting), Paul Oakenfold - 1994 - (The Goa Mix) (TL), Leftfield - 1994 (TL). A few good ones from the last couple of years: Justice, (TL), Soulwax (TL), Eric Prydz (TL). And one of my personal favorites -- Scott Bond - 2000 (TL)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to listen to "Rid of Me" without a (more) severe bought of castration anxiety.

PJ Harvey suggests that all the castration imagery of Rid of Me isn't necessarily metaphorical.

A Brief History of Disbelief

A Brief History of Disbelief -- 2, 3, 4. An excellent documentary on the history of Atheism from the ancient Greeks to today. Wonderful food for thought whether you are a believer or not.

Texas. Where the internet and "kill 'em all" meet.

Read the last statements of executed Texas death row inmates. Texas now publishes the last statements online in a extremely well organised database. Search through offender name, offender information (scanned OCR with pics and crime description). If that's a bit too heavy, why not just browse through some last meals on death row?

Natural phenomena streaming live to the web?

Easily scrape-able sources of varying data on the web, ideally reflecting natural phenomena? I need some help finding sources.
