Alot of people have spoken to this, but this whole experience pissing match is just too stupid. Plus it took me a long time to type, so i'm going with it...

I am saying that it is wrong for the Democrats to claim Palin is less qualified than he. It is a ridiculous argument and it's time to drop it.

You are not laid back, or willing to let things slide, and she is not a nag or emotional. In fact, you are making her be in charge of this stuff. You are making it both her fault and her responsibility for things to be done. If you wait until she either a) just does it herself or b) goes apeshit on you, well, gee you were going to get to it, right? Their pandering to a religious interrogation is what we're talking about here.

And there we have it. This is not about Rick Warren, not about CNN, but about disappointment with Obama. Because he seems happy to discuss issues of religion and faith, and even his own faith, you are left with two uncomfortable options:

a) Obama is being genuine and therefore not an atheistic intellectual like all the rest of you smart people.... [more]

Here's how I'd approach the ring vs. cost question:

(1) First, take stock of her current jewelry collection. Does she seem to have a lot of cabochons? Square-cut stones? Does she completely avoid yellow gold? Is everything extremely simple? Is everything extremely ornate? Does she seem to adore (or abhore) antiques?

(2) Look for a ring that fits in with her collection, while keeping in mind your presumptive fiancee's style and habits.... [more]

I'm a renter and before I move to a new place I hang out there, sometimes for a couple hours--in the parks, on the street, asking passers-by if they live there and what they like and dislike about the area. I specifically ask them and the landlord about noise. You spent a million three on an apartment and you didn't go check out the neighborhood? You're a fucking a moron.

Another evening, Ms. Sherry and Mr. Klinsky were lying in their custom-made bed when a rod running along its foot snapped off. “I’m thinking, What the heck kind of cheap bed is this?” said Ms. Sherry, who phoned Mr. Clough the next day.

His response, which might have taken a less adventurous person aback, was that she take a wait-and-see attitude, that the bed bit was part of a larger “story” and that all would be revealed in good time.

My local ISP has had pay-by-the-megabyte ever since I became a DSL subscriber. I love it. The number of gigabytes offered in the base package has been steadily increasing while prices have remained steady -- today it's 30GB up + 30 GB down per month and $0.0005 per MB after that.
