If you want to learn about U.S. TV story construction from the fly-on-the-wall perspective, besides reading screenwriter blogs (e.g. John August, Alex Epstein, John Rogers, Ken Levine, etc.), definitely check out the Battlestar Galactica podcasts, particularly the writers' room recording: three hours of the writing staff beating out story arcs for Season Two. I loved my Model M, and it's the one thing I miss from using a PC since I switched to the Mac. If someone would just make a Model M (five pounds of steel and clicky) for the Mac, I'd pay almost any price.

SansPoint, check out the Unicomp native-USB 104-key models (as I mentioned above). They're around $60-70, but worth it.

Think of it as Digg meets Cnet; it's a massive tag-based index of applications that users are able to mark that they use. This results in incredible utilitarian lists of the most used apps, hottest apps, and newest apps. It's an invaluable resource, really. I'm a crossword fanatic. As Pinto says, a huge part of the game is knowing the threes and fours that are likely to spring up. After a while, you'll learn that if you see the word 'Georgia' in a clue, you need to immediately fill in SSR; if you see 'Mission Impossible', you fill in LALO.
