Better sleeping through chemistry

Is there any supplement I can add to 5-HTP to help me sleep at night? Or do I need to try something different instead? I'd rather not... Reasons & stuff inside.

Iphone app creation for the lazy and greedy

Are there any platforms for developing Iphone/Itouch applications that don't require a ton of coding? I'm think along the lines of the old Hypercard, or an interactive fiction engines.

how do I go about hiring a house cleaner?

how do I go about finding a good house cleaner in Toronto? I would prefer to hire an individual person, rather than a business, but I am willing to consider both. I am looking for recommendations, and tips as to what to ask after hearing some horror stories (house cleaner stealing, etc.). This is for a small apartment, 700 sq. feet.

What if you miss the Cup?

HR/YANML filter: One of my assistants had an on-the-job injury today, and at the hosptial, they failed to give her the pee test drug screening that our company requires. She's concerned that they may use that as basis for claiming that she refused the test, and therefore will be on her own for the expense. I don't feel like this is the case, but I wanted someone with a more informed answer to help me reassure her. So, do they have the burden of proof if they claim she refused? How long after the event can they require it?

how do we get rid of a lemon of a house?

What can we do to get out from under a lemon of a house? About 10 years ago, we bought a house that was a DIY fixer-upper with some serious issues. 10 years of graduate school poverty coupled with a couple of major illnesses that limited physical activity hindered our ability to make more than just the basic repairs. Now the house is even worse, and a new job has forced us to make an out-of-state move.

Eat food, not too much, mostly vegetables, and with as little effort as possible

I want different headers on every page, just like Charles Dickens

My copy of "Our Mutual Friend" by Charles Dickens shows the chapter name on the head every left page, and a summary phrase of the spread's content on the head of every right page. Is there a name for that style? I'd love to know any history of it, why it's not done now, and how I could set it up in a word processor for use in my own docs. Thanks!

How can we please our neighbor without sacrificing our privacy?

My fiancée and I rent our house, and the next door neighbor (who owns her home) has complained about trees from our yard overhanging into hers. The real estate has said they will pay for this, but our neighbor has to write to them to ask as much. Thing is, we don't really want to give our neighbor the contact details to our real estate, for reasons I will detail inside...

Need a simple/inexpensive document management/imaging solution for a medium sized office so we can go paperless!

Need a simple document management system with a clean, easy interface that can index documents based on job #, who the document is to and from, and date. Tagging the documents would be a really cool feature (like del.icio.us tagging) but not required.
