Regardless of the merits of dnab's or termite's assertions (having not read the viacom/youtube thread, I have no opinion), it's really really unbecoming and ugly to see TPS, Styxno, and others cheering for a fight/melt-down/whatever it is they're cheering.

Because there's so little about Utah Phillips in this post, I want to give a bit of an entry point for those who aren't familiar. I think a good starting point would be his Wikipedia entry. Utah was a folk singer in the Industrial Workers of the World, the grand old One Big Union that is still getting along.
