Where can I download video easily?

I've just bought a portable media player and want to fill it with video. I'm loving Stage6 - click the link and it quickly downloads a high quality divx file. Anything else out there as easy to use and reliable?

VOB to MOV... How?

I need to convert a short VOB file into a reletively high quality, uncompressed MOV file... it's for my reel and I am having a heck of a time finding a way to convert it while keeping the sound and image quality reletively intact. I have managed to create an AVI and a MPG/MPEG... but they don't want to be good little children and convert to MOV's through the freeware I have. Help!

Should I leave Los Angeles?

I live in Los Angeles. I'm close to signing an option on a screenplay. But I desperately want to live somewhere else, should I...?

It's hard to be cool. Then why is it so hard to get out of it?

I want to hear about "anti-cool".

Say! How about a Los Angeles meetup?

It's about time for another LA meetup, wouldn't you say?

Feature length movies with a CC license?

What are the largest creative projects released under a creative commons license, such as feature length movies or full albums?

Bagel on the Malecon

A very New York-bred outlook at old-time Cuban music, recorded entirely with .. violas! This was my attempt to create asymmetrical but memorable melodies, clear textures crammed with material, and experiment with multitrack viola as a concept, an ensemble. The sound of the classic Cuban bands had all that - except the violas, that is. This track appears on my newly released CD, the VJOLA: WORLD ON FOUR STRINGS

Olivia

Some stuff that happened. A mild case of OCD. A neighbourhood mom played the violin.

You Spin Me Round

A remake of the same song by Dead or Alive, only much better! Disclaimer: I was the producer of the album this is off of, not a performer. (MI)
