The Way of All Flesh
Fascinating series of found photographs, all of the same woman, documenting 50 years of changes. Sort of like those before and after meth photos, but without the meth and without the sleaze. Sort of not like that at all, actually.

What free, open-source projects can I run in a privately accessible portion of my webspace that would be useful to me in terms of making things more practical in my own life (think Lifehacker-43 Folders kind of stuff)? I'd prefer Mefites' personal experiences with their own installs over linkage that you've seen but never tried — although I'll take either one.

Last night, I attended a concert featuring Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joe Ely, and Guy Clark. It was just the four of them and their guitars. It was awsome, and now I'm looking for recommendations.

My older brother, who has been swindled by MLM (multi-level marketing) scams in the past, has gotten involved in yet another. Have any of you dealt with a family member in this situation? Is there anything I can do, or do any of you have suggestions on how to cope with this?

[Digital Camera N00b Filter] I took a bunch of photos on my new camera (Canon Rebel) in RAW, but when I use the software that came with the camera it uploads them onto the computer as .avi files that I can't open. At one point I managed to upload them through another program as .crw files, but I still didn't know what to open them with (photoshop didn't work). How do I make them pictures again?
