I would like sharp cheddar. The best sharp cheddar recommendations you've got. Complex, subtle cheddars are great, but I'm also feenin' for cheddar that is sharp beyond belief. So if you don't have the cheddar equivalent of a 25-year old Bowmore, a perfectly acceptable alternative is the cheddar equivalent of a ziploc bag full of Everclear. Let the cheese strike my taste buds, hard.

What kind of clothing looks best on a thirtysomething guy who is heavy but not obese? I am in a fashion rut and don't trust my judgement, and want to see some pictures.

2007 has been a year of nothing. How can I make 2008 a year to remember?

WastingThisWeek'sQuestionFilter: How do the locals pronounce "Cicott" in Lake Cicott, IN, USA? I've driven through that fair burg many many times in the last 25 years, and every time, I wonder the same thing. It's ambiguous from a phonetics standpoint, and Hoosiers don't seem to care a fig for phonetics anyway, when place names are involved. Please help me astound my traveling companions the next time I'm traversing beautiful Indiana.

What's the cheapest way to move a bunch of banker's boxes across the United States? I have 98 sealed banker's boxes full of books, papers, and a few durable household items in New York City and want to move them to San Francisco. What's the cheapest way to do that short of driving them across the country myself? USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc. all want to treat these as 98 parcels, which is prohibitively expensive. I could pay a moving company to do it, but that's also quite expensive -- and it's not like I need that kind of don't-scratch-my-antiques level of care anyway. Isn't there a cheaper way to get 98 uniform, nonfragile boxes across the country?

Over 3 years ago I registered with the National Bone Marrow Donor Program as part of a charity event. It was really simple - all they did was take a little blood... Today I get a phone call that apparently, I'm a match.

Hi everyone. My first question even though I've been reading for quite awhile. My wife is looking into Lasik in the Chicago or the Chicago suburbs. She is nearsighted with stigmatisms. She heard a commercial on our NPR for a Michigan Ave. laser clinic and called. They told her it would be $2,500-3,000 per eye. Her vision is precious to me and I certainly don't want to go to a cheap place but that seems insanely expensive. We're looking for recomendations of good doctors in the chicago area and information about whether this price is as high as it sounds to me. My feeling is we're paying for a posh Michigan Ave. location not for great doctors and service. Thanks everyone.

I'm about to buy a new pair of eyeglasses. For my prescription I want high index progressive lenses. I want the high index so the lenses will be as thin as possible. I keep hearing that Zeiss lenses are better than other brands and would like to know if this is true before I spend my money. Costco does not sell Zeiss. Is whatever Coscto sells as good optically?
