I have an upcoming interview for a programming job. I'd like to find out a bit about the quality of the code of the product I'd be assigned to develop, i.e. is it dailywtf material or decent enough. Any ideas how to get some information out of the interviewers, at least some of whom are assumed to be technical people?

I'm a straight, white, upper middle class male. I'm aware that this automatically means I generally have an easier time than people with a different sexuality/race/class/gender. That said, I'm probably unaware of what these benefits are.
What does this 'privileged' status do for me that I don't even notice?

My daughter is beginning to learn to build furniture and has a particular interest in learning how to identify exotic and really any furniture-quality woods. She is a visual learner so pictures rather than wordy descriptions work best for her.

So, after much research, we have decided to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I have already been to Oahu and was not too impressed. But everyone is telling me that the other islands are far superior. So, where do you recommend we go? Where should we stay? We have quite a bit of money to throw at this, so we are not averse to staying in 4 star / 5 star hotels. Because the wife is pregnant, I don't want to overdue it, but I think she would be up for some activity like a downhill bike ride. Anyone recommend a fabulous itinerary for a Hawaiian honeymoon with a pregnant wife?

Currently, I am 39 years old. Everybody seems to think I look fit & trim. I do exercise 4-5 times a week with cardio and weights and when I look in the mirror, I am generally pleased. So the question is why, when I let my self completely relax, I still have this gut?

This year when I host the Swan family's Easter celebration as I always do, I'd like to serve an apple-based dessert for the sake of one of my nieces, who LOVES anything apple.
