Can any of you recommend a thermos/food jar that is durable and can keep food hot (not just luke warm) for at least 8 hours. I have tried a few thermoses and have been really disappointed even if I heat the thermos with really hot water beforehand. The ones I have tried were pretty cheap plastic ones. I am willing to spend more money on a stainless one or some other material if it works decent. I'd just like to get some opinions before I plunk down my money on any one brand of thermos. Thanks :)

Posting this for a friend.
He has short sight and currently does not have insurance.
He has just passed out of highschool. He needs to get eye glasses. He got a part-time job just now and so very
frugal on money related matters.
Any discount program where he can get eyes checked
by an optometrist with reasonable/low fees.
He is in bay area.
Also any idea how much does an optometrist charge
for the above.
Thanks.

Will image stabilization on Digital Cameras stabilize the video recording as well? I have a Canon Elph, which does not have IS. I was looking at the Canon SD700 IS, but only if it worked for recording video too.
I have an older Sony TRV-22 handicam that has steadyshot, but I find using the digital elph much more convenient. Great photos, and nice video quality too, except the obvious lack of video stabilization.

I saw Cirque du Soleil's "O" in Las Vegas. One of the best shows that I've ever seen. However, it did lead to one of those, "How did they do that moments." (More inside. If you haven't seen the show and think you may, you may want ot pass on viewing).

My fiancee and I are planning our honeymoon and thought a cruise might be a nice experience. We are looking for recommendations on cruise lines, ships, and destinations. A little about us: We are 30 & 29, employed decently, but are cost concious as we are saving for a home, and pretty hip (if I do say so myself). Our most important criteria in selecting a cruise (line) are diversity in activities, best value, cleanliness, and service. We have only been to St. Thomas and Cancun, and a loop hitting other destinations would be prefered. Mainly, something not astrinomical in $, on a clean fun ship with 20-30 somethings (no toddler or bingo bus rides please) for a few days would be great. Thanks for any recommendations in advance!!
