What, if anything, is a "Target Retirement" fund like VTIVX missing?

Fascinating account
(w/ pix) of a motorcycle journey through Angola. Stumbled onto this from the Black Flag forums and have not been able to stop reading it.

Celemony are a bunch of crazy German software engineers known best for making Melodyne, a family of top of the line pitch correction tools. Apparently they've recently figured out how to do what they do with polyphonic audio.
I can't begin to explain how cool this is. Just
watch the video.

My employer does not provide vision insurance -and I wear glasses for nearsightedness. The way I see it, I have three options -
1) Use the Lenscrafters coupons in the Sunday paper,
2) Use my AAA member card for a discount at Lenscrafters,
3) Use the measly 20% vision discount I have available as a member of BlueShield, or
4) Sign up for independent vision coverage through a plan like
VSP. Is anyone else in a similar boat? What do you use? What do you recommend
and advise against using?

How does one become an air traffic controller? And why wouldn't one want to do such a thing for a living?

How do I hop a freight train? I've wanted to do this for years and I think this summer is going to be the one. Any info you can give me will be more than I know now. Most online sources are very secretive with specifics.

The Antikamnia Calendar for 1900
shows a policeman, a clown, and a newspaper editor (among others), with one slight but notable difference. The
1899 one is pretty neat, too, but not as useful (because 1900 matches 2007 day-for-day). More info and related pics
here.

Why is the CGI in Jurassic Park so good? Despite being nearly fifteen years old, it's no worse than that in The Lord of the Rings and King Kong, and certainly better than the recent Star Wars movies.

Check out this map of
The Simpson's hometown of Springfield. We may never know what state the town is located in, and yes, the show has sucked for at least six years now (if not more) but this map was considered to be so good, it was, apparently, added to the
Harvard Map collection. Comic Book Guy would be proud.

forum.ma.ru thread on a russian couple who adopted and are raising a
fishing cat in their home. Seventy-nine pages of awesome photos of the cat playing, eating, and hunting.
Babelfish translation of thread
starts here (
NSFW warning: many visceral pictures to make animal cruelty activists [and vegetarians] squirm,
and one picture of lady taking a bath with bigcat in murky water).
