Thanks to an innocuous question by a 5 year old, my entire evening is now being spent investigating and discussing the structure and workings of the human brain. This flash site lets you explore the workings of the brain according to 12 subject areas (each with subtopics which are not included in the "180" count), within each of which are 5 levels of organization from social to molecular, within each of which are three levels of explanation (beginner, intermediate, and advanced.) discovered via Wikipedia.

I recently read something that has made me start to wonder about the credit given for inventions in the past. I was unaware that in France, Brazil, and other places the Wright brothers are not listed as the first in flight. I am now officially a full time project manager. I have no other responsibilities. I know all about project management methodology. But what I want to know about are the things you can't learn from a book. To the super hero project managers out there, what tools and techniques help you do your job better? How do you stay organized across multiple projects? Moleskines? Laptops? Wikis? How do you reduce administrative overhead and collect and disseminate information? How do you get people to do things when you aren't their direct manager? Turn me into a super hero pm!

Help with salary negotiations? The standard wisdom -- which I've been trying to follow -- is that you aren’t supposed to talk about salary until after you get a job offer. But the organization began talking about it when they called to schedule the first interview. Suggestions?

The world (and universe) is an incredible place, as I've learned from awesome series such as Planet Earth and the Universe. What are some other high-quality mindblowing box sets? Or even just a single eye-opening documentary? I just want to watch something and leave with the sensation of, wow, the world is a crazy/amazing place.

Recommend some books/collections of short stories or even poetry I would like if I am looking for some disturbing reads. I mean the kind of horror/thriller/sci-fi/fantasy/creepy stories that stick in your head for days after you read them causing you to think about them over and over or leave you too scared to turn off your bedroom lights and go to sleep.

I've been hanging out with my wife and her booth partner at a handmade goods market they sell at each week. It's pretty typical stuff, jewelry, crafts of various kinds. They also go to art festivals on occasion to sell their wares.
We've been discussing sales techniques that could help them out. I'm wondering if there is such an animal: sales techniques for the artisan seller?
