Two Blogs, One Site

My wife and I want to start a blog. Amazing new idea, right?! Anyways, we're bored and we have too much free time, so we want a place to write down or show things we think are funny. I used to keep a blog on typepad, so I'm familiar with using a service like that, but how possible would it be to setup a website where there are two blogs on it, running side by side?

Help me get out of an IT contracting loop!

I'm 26 years old and stuck in a IT-contracting loop. Would an MBA, Masters or going back to get certified in certain hardware/software help me out? What kinds of opportunities could they open up?

Newbie Seeks Javascript

I want to build a web page with expandable sections of text which default to not being expanded. Unfortunately, I'm a total javascript newbie. The way they did it here is pretty close to what I'd want (scroll to "anatomical focus"): http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/863 ....Is it possible (or, for that matter, ethical) to somehow grab the javascript they used? Alternatively, are there generic freeware scripts anywhere that do something similar? If there were any such repository with a variety of javascripts that do this slightly different ways, even better. If it's newbie friendly, even better still! Thanks!

I'm interested in purchasing a light box to help combat seasonal affective disorder (SAD); can anyone recommend (or warn against) specific models that they (or someone they know) have used?

ASCII Game Revolution

In these days of high-powered graphics, there is a ASCII gaming renaissance underway. Among the most interesting are: ASCII Sector, a remake of the classic Wing Commander Privateer; the fast-paced Doom RL; the Ultima V influenced Legerdemain; and the much-discussed strategy game/frustration simulator Dwarf Fortress (now with a new unofficial tileset and experimental 3-D visualizer that may prevent some eye-bleeding), And, of course, the classic, complex Rogue-like RPGs continue to go strong, those interested may want to check out this list of the best new rogue-like game releases from ASCII dreams or the list of releases from Temple of the Roguelike.

Wubi: Ubuntu the easy way

Ubuntu has quickly become the number one Linux distro for the desktop. Not only is it free, but it has also made Linux easier to use than ever. Now, Wubi enables Windows users to install Ubuntu just like any other application, so you no longer have to mess around with partitions, burning CDs, etc.

Best programming language for beginners?

I am a 21 year old "field IT technician" looking to pursue programming as a career, and am wondering which language(s) is friendly to beginners and/or likely to help me get a job. I am within commuting distance of Redmond if the MS factor is of any consequence.

Ink and Paper: Instant Party

Boredom begone! There exist a preponderance of games which (mostly) require nothing but pen and paper, ranging from the relatively mild Fictionary and Word Association, to the more artistic Exquisite Corpse and Eat Poop You Cat (seen previously as an online game), and finally the downright nutty Dvorak and 1000 blank white cards. My favorite, by far: the elusive other foot.
