"Why didn't anyone think of that before?"

What are some innovations that come across as obvious solutions for problems? Something that makes you say, "Why didn't anyone think of that before?" Three that I can think of are: ketchup bottles that pour from the bottom, adding a notch to make it easier to tear open sealed packages, and having a single line for all bank tellers instead of a line for each teller.

Abs Diet vs. Hacker's Diet: what's the truth? I'm having a hard time figuring out how to lose weight because both claim to be "common sense" approaches (and they make sense upon reading), but they contradict greatly on large aspects. Also, a question about protein powders...

What's the name of this particular peer review website?

There's a specific website I once visited. You could post your ideas for anything - a product, a new technology, a book, etc. Other users could comment and critique your idea. The website had a large picture of a fortune cookie on it. Does anybody know the name and URL of the website I speak of?

What is a confusing phrase I can use in a conversation?

Do you know of any phrases that can be used to confuse someone in a conversation? I saw a list long ago but don't recall any if the phrases. It could be a question or an answer. The purpose is to say something that sounds natural and like a plausable statement but is difficult to decipher (or even non-sensical) and makes the other person feel stunned and speechless as they try to figure out what you said.

Inability to care for loved ones through simple daily contact – can it at all be excused as a ‘sweet handicap’?

I always followed the philosophy of ‘negative traits are usually just an extension of the best ones in everyone, except after proved otherwise’. But some recent questions here on human relations filter (extreme introversy = unable to keep contact with friends/family; how reliable is “He’s just not that into you” book?) and my own situation (long term and, hopefully temporarily long distance relationship with someone great except that he refuses to call me more often than once a week, on the last day of the week, and has thousands of excuses for not calling more often) makes me wonder if there is a cure for the suffering side of neglected relationships.
