Help me find the image manager of my dreams?

I'm sitting on an extensive collection of ephemera and period clip-art. I use it a lot for designs, presentations, and assorted projects, but as it's grown organizing the contents has turned into an impossible task...

"Britpop" sound - female singers?

What are some "britpop" sounding groups/acts that feature a female singer? (a la The Verve/ Oasis/ Soundtrack of our Lives... you know, rockers/flag wavers/ ballads/psychedelic) thanks

Trying to remember the name of a PBS show from my childhood...

What was the name of a bizarre kids show that aired on PBS when I was a child (mid-to-late 80's) that stared two kids who traveled to some warped universe to solve puzzles?

How can I become a freelance editor?

How can I become a freelance editor (or proofreader)? I have a good eye for grammar and whether writing makes sense, and I have an unrelated bachelor's degree from a respectable school. On the other hand, I have no significant experience. I'm hoping to work from home on a freelance basis. Is this crazy? How would I get started?

Where is the music of the night?

I'm trying to find a music streaming website I found through StumpleUpon a few months ago, and the main theme was night and roadtrip music.

Where are the entry level developer jobs?

Computer Jobs filter: My friend recently graduated with a BS in Information Systems (after a long hiatus away from school). He has pre-college experience in database architecture using MS Access, but his other skills (MySQL, pHp) are learned on his own. He wants to find a job as a DBA or a web developer, but doesn't have the 3+ years of professional experience everyone wants. Even if he's able to learn Oracle, Python, Ruby, etc. on his own, how can he prove he knows them without resume experience to back him up?

Los Angeles-area sustainably raised, grass-fed, etc. dairy?

Been a lifelong carnivore. Went vegan recently because factory meat farming, factory dairy, etc. just appall me. Unfortunately, since I'm allergic to soy and corn, a vegan diet is very limiting. I'd like to reintroduce dairy, and maybe even the occasional poultry/meat, but I am not comfortable with it not being sustainably raised. Now let me define terms.

Why do underwires never want to stay put?

Brassiere filter: Is there some kind of trick for preventing underwire poke-through? Can the ruined bras be repaired (by someone with little to no sewing skills)?

What from the '80s was actually good?

I'm a child of the '80s, and I loved the '80s. However, I didn't develop a sense of good taste until about 1994, and as a result my pop-culture radar is completely jammed with crappy cartoons designed to sell toys, cereal commercials, and Ewoks. Can you recommend totally awesome movies/TV shows/etc. that will satisfy my '80s nostalgia, but are good enough to watch today?

kids or no kids ??? HELP US DECIDE!!

my wife and i are both at the life junction that we have to decide if we want to have kids, ever or never, due to our age, also due to peer and family pressure. the problem is that we both are not that enthusiastic about introducing someone addtional into the family or in between. recognizing the highly private nature of this issue, we still want to do a quick & unscientific poll to to see if it will help us move a bit closer to a decision: 1. for those couples who made a conscientious decision to stay kid-less: how long have you two decided on this issue? any regrets so far? 2. for those couples happily living with kid(s): if you can have the kids bearing and rearing experience all over again, will you do it again? please, no rants or raves on how great or how nightmarish kids are. heard too much of that already. thanks,

location location location

How hard is it to get a job overseas? Is there a lot of paperwork involved? Is it hard to adjust? Does it make more sense right out of college? There's more past the jump.

How do I grocery shop and cook?

I've been living on my own for about five years now, but I still cannot for the life of me understand grocery shopping. I've tried buying the staples, easy-to-cook meals, and even specific recipes. But I always end up ordering take out after a week.

It's excruciatingly painful being green

Kermit has not done well since the death of Jim Henson...He's covered some sad songs , poured his heart out on myspace and picked up a new addiction.
