Why does my baby hate me?

PregnancyFilter: I have four weeks to go and am suddenly miserable and in a lot of pain. My doctors shrug and say it's normal. Tips to get through the last month? Warning: some TMI-worthy confessions inside.

Come on Indian MeFites, spill the lentils, divulge your most tasty family recipes.

To the Indian MeFites - and the non-indian chefs as well - what are your favorite family Indian recipes and what are some tricks in the preparation to give the food that authentic Indian taste. You know, rich, delicious, mouth-watering, and savoury to the point that eating becomes a spiritual experiece in itself.

help me make an indie rock bar a little more surreal

I'm looking for something really freaky to put on the tv at the bar I work at; video imagery to really make some hipster indie rocker kids say wtf when they notice it playing in the background-"holy mountain" and svenmahers"alice" are my usual standbys, but I know you Mefites know just the thing to make a standard night watching post rock bands just a little stranger.what visuals would you use, remembering that the sound of the movie won't be heard--

Hack My Baby

Give me your baby hacks! My wife and I are expecting our first child in November. What tips and tricks can you offer us to make our lives a lot easier? For example, a friend of mine swears that putting a crying baby in front of a mirror will cause it to stop. Another uses noise cancelling headphones to temper the noise from his shrieking child. I am looking for hacks on everything from diaper changing to stroller modifications. Make our lives easier as we enter into parenthood.

The quality of luxury without the price or appearance

I used to get the cheapest liquid soap for washing hands I could find, but recently, I got the "shea butter" soap for $3 and found that the increased quality more than makes up for the increased cost. The question is: What else can I spend a little more on to get much more quality? (Fluffy towels, sheets, maybe?) Are there websites that review this?

Banjo without the Inbreeding

I'm a sucker for the "dying but smiling" feeling I get from the sound of a banjo. What modern/recent songs have banjo in them? I'm looking for things that don't fall neatly under the category of bluegrass - a pop/rock/alternative song that just happens to have a banjo rather than Bela Fleck/String Cheese Incident/Cherryholmes type stuff.
