At Unshielded Colliders: Does poverty cause lower test scores in states like Mississippi, Arizona and New Mexico? Or is it just the heat?

A brief statistical analysis of poverty levels state-by-state, compared to scores on the NAEP 8th grade science achievement test (a litmus test for school performance).
