Terrorist or Not?

Terrorist or Not? OK, I know what you're thinking, another AM I _____ or not? It is, but this one is actually pretty cool. Dossiers of famous terrorists and non-terrorists from the present back to Atilla the Hun. Interesting stuff and worth a few minutes of your time.

You've got to have some NOT's, xiffix... Otherwise you just keep clicking 10, and that's not going to help your education about terror at all.

Give it a chance, xiffix; it actually is pretty thought provoking. Was Ethel Rosenburgh a terrorist? Paul Hill?

It's also interesting to see the tallies for the more obscure persons; when people have no knowledge of the historical backround, they vote favorably for those with warm smiles and light skin.

Cool site...educational about the people and, as jennak says, educational about people's judgments based on appearances.

This "New War" is being fought everywhere, not just Afghanistan. It is being fought in the hearts and minds of each and every one of us. The New War, as I see it, is about judgments, prejudices and beliefs in people. If I decide that someone who doesn't look like me is inherently bad, then I'm on the wrong side of this war and am a loser. The winners of this New War are the ones to reach out to people unlike themselves and expression compassion and support for the rights to live their life by their beliefs, as long as they value each other's rights and value human life to the core.

I noticed that too, pudders.

So I went back at the behest of my fellow Mefites and I have to tell you that the dogs, and Darth, and CATS, etc., don't belong there because it's hard to make your point if people stop looking at your site. They could just as easily be replaced by a few curve-balls like Menachem Begin and Celine Dion. I saw lots of duplicates for the amount of times I clicked, indicating there isn't a lot of content there and what there is isn't particularly well-written, or informative to me, anyway. Perhaps I'm not the audience...

And what's up with those cheesy banner ads, anyway? The site owner's heart is in the right place, but he's got to eat too?

coool site. educational AND a good parody of the other "hot or not" sites, right down to all the annoying banners and ugly site design. :D

Damn, this is a cool site, although there arn't that many pics to go through... I can think of quite a few to add though, and probably will later tonight.

It's really an intresting take on history, I mean, what really defines a 'terrorist'? Certanly some from the american revolution would be described as such by the current british.
