Secret Santa. Got your own Web site? Got an Amazon wishlist? If the answer to both of these is yes, and you like the idea of giving and receiving, you should definitely sign up.

I love this. Very, very simple, building on tools that already exist (wishlists) to do something really fun. Requires a certain amount of trust, but hey, you're all nice people, I trust you :) I signed up immediately.

Someone I know did this at his personal site, with the pool made up of his visitors. Was actually pretty fun.

You think? I think the nice thing about it is that you can't lose more than $15. And you bring happiness to someone completely unconnected to yourself. Which is nice. Plus you get the address of the person who was SUPPOSED to be buying you a present so if they don't you can be all snarky with them!
