I am officially having a cow.

I've been video-taping every episode for the span of the series, and yet I still could not even begin to undertake the developement of that map. They've pretty much nailed it.

...Bravo!

a query

in the episode where Homer becomes a stone cutter, he is given a pair of roller skates instead of a closer parking place - yet the simpsons house is bang next to the power plants parking lot, on the map the simpsons house is a far away from the power station

monkeyJuice: It's one of many, MANY inconsistencies from episode to episode.

Anybody found Stoner's Pot Palace yet?

I believe Stoner's Pot Palace is inside Springfield Mall.

I posted this to that site you're not supposed to talk about and thought I'd share the original link.

Right across the street from Springfield Junior High.

From what I remember...

* Springfield is in no particular state. Depending on where they need it to be it can be on the west coast, east coast, landlocked... whatever.

* Springfield changes during every episode. It's foolish trying to make a 'key'. Pretty much the only steady thing is that the Flanders live next to the Simpsons... that's it.

I think the uber-fan thing is getting a bit out of hand, and seriously pointless.

This piece of the map details which stores are in the mall. The Pot Palace isn't there.

I'm going to have to haul out my copy of Virtual Springfield tonight to see if there are any similarities between that map and this one..

An impressive achievement, to be sure. But where is the Lemon Tree near the Springfield/Shelbyville border?

Is this map all literal or did they take some creative license in making it? For example, I don't remember the Simpsons driving to the Slaughterhouse, and i was wondering where they got an indication for where it was?

In the episode with George Bush Apu lives in a house nearby the Simpsons. Also, where are the 99, 66 and 33 cents stores, and Donny's Discount Gas?

Where's Turn Your Head and Coif?

But on the whole, this is damned funny. I had forgotten about "Screaming Monkey Medical Research Center." Get me a plane to the state that Springfield is in!

Yes, but my restraining order prevents revealing the exact location.

In the VH1 "Behind the Music" spoof episode, it was mentioned that Kentucky was their home state.
