So lots of people hate links to news sites. How about an olds(?) site? Wrote reports the news of the past, and I don't mean last year.

I'm disappointed to learn that glass pavements were a failure. Ok I can see how the splinters and breakage might have posed a slight problem, but it would have been something to see, none the less.

Great site! Excellent layout and short, amusing content.

Good site. I liked reading about the vicious cycle of salt sticks and beer...

Great site. This is the kind of thing I come to MetaFilter for.

Is anyone else besides me noticing a trend lately towards old-style, early 20th-century design ideas? McSweeney's, Textism, now this....It's almost like The Diamond Age, just a little early.

I love this- the layout is beautiful, and the content is a blast. I love the towel collection story; "I tell you, my boy, there's nothing like being unique, even if a hotel-keeper gets after you occasionally with a club."

This really is worth a ditto. Thanks, Su.

Thanks for the accolades. Surely, there's got to be something that isn't quite jiving. PS: I know about the horizontal rule bug in Mozilla.

All told, I've been incubating the idea for Wrote over three years -- and just now got around to building it. I'm such a slacker. ;)
