What happens when a LEGO fanatic becomes bored? Or, perhaps the question should be "what should one do with about a quarter million Modulex bricks?" You might remember Eric of LEGO Desk fame...

Wow, and even cooler (linked from that page), an upcoming lego convention.

Okay then, a physical ASCII mosaic. But a mosaic of what?
...
I decided to use a picture of Calista Flockhart.

Wow. That was one of the greatest leaps of logic I've seen in a while.

The question is, which weighs more: the actress or the Lego image of the actress?

I wonder where people who attend Lego conventions fit in on the Geek Hierarchy.

Nevertheless, Eric Harshbarger totally rules. My fingers would be raw and bleeding, Pete Townshend-style, from doing what he does.

jjg, i was thinking the very same thing this afternoon. should they be pegged between "amateur sf/fantasy artists" and "amateur sf/fantasy artists who can't get breasts right"? no, that's not right. eric has done commissions so that removes him from the rank of amateur. either way, i think it might be fairly high up the food chain.
