That game is tomorrow. But any predictions on the final outcome? I couldn't find any previous years predictions and how close some guesses were, but the only link of note was this. 31-28.

My girlfriend's parents are visiting our campus this weekend... her dad cut the trip short to go see the game on his big screen in Florida (we're in Ohio). Hehe.

I have to admit... I don't know who is even playing this year, and I don't really care much to find out. Besides, with the state of the economy, the commercials are bound to be less-than-stellar.

That's one thing I miss about the dotcoms - it was amusing seeing them spend tons of money on completely impractical yet generally amusing TV ads each year. My favorite? The EDS cat herding commercial. They even created an online catherding game... it's waste-0-riffic!

Tongue-in-cheek, there, jcterminal -- but the Superbowl and domestic violence link is a myth. A pretty nasty, underhanded myth that persists years after the organizations that started it became too embarrassed to continue flacking it.

That doesn't stop some people, though.

(Snopes has a good page on the Abuse Bowl myth, too.)

Patriots by one point in overtime.

Rams by 21 (they're a a dome team), but I'm pulling for the Pats.

I expect this game to get real ugly real quick. I hope I'm wrong.

I still think the Clippers might win this one.

quacamole

Is that made out of ducks?

Oh, and Rams by 17.

I'm guessing the Patriots, not because they're a better team or anything like that, but so sports broadcasters can point out that the Patriots won in this "year of America."

24-21 Pats. Go Pats!

Rams 45, Pats 17

I'm hoping the Rams pour it on...something like 49-10 and embarrass the Pats. I guess I am a bit angry because the stupid refs and their ridiculous interpretation of the rules prevented what would have been the most interesting Super Bowl ever, a matchup between the two teams that jilted LA, the Raiders and Rams.

pfft. the refs called the truth. his arm was in motion.

suck it down pal!

(ok, that fills my quota of football-geekdom for this year.)

What? Two teams that left the worst sports town in America would make it "the most interesting" ever? Whoopee.

Whoever you're rooting for, there's someone on your side to be embarrased by. I give the Patriots an advantage because Jack Valenti is rooting for the Rams. Unless he really is the Devil.

I think Miami is the worst sports town in America, but yeah, LA is right behind it.

I predict that, of the two teams, one will be declared the winner. This decision will be the result of one team scoring more points than the other. Other than that, the SuperBowl means nothing to me other than that The Simpsons aren't on. So really, you could almost say I HATE THE SUPERBOWL.

Marshall, Marshall, Marshall!! Rams by 20! Go Rams! If the Rams should win, I apologize in advance for any poetry readings by Georgia Frontiere.

Can't we just get the Supreme Court to pick the winner?

I give the Pats the credit they deserve, they beat up the Rams physically and made the plays when they had to(now I sound like a bad sports cliche)...
Oh, and many in LA would take the worst sports town in America monikor and wear it proudly. They just don't seem to care about their teams much, except when it comes to the Lakers.
