Woah. That is right by my buddy's house. I graciously step aside for the war to begin.

I'm almost afraid to ask, aj100, but what was the point of posting this to Metafilter?

And I must say that I agree with ed. This isn't the Sally Jesse Rapheal show.

I wonder, if she weighed 47 pounds, you would say "not much of a woman". What is the point of this post? What's to discuss? Or is it just a gawk?

Hey, I dislike pointing and laughing as much as the next guy. But it would be nice to see the same kind of piling on about ALL the Fark-type stuff.

Yeah, we're a little "wacky" news story heavy today.

I'm startin' to wonder what's the point of posting anything to Metafilter.... An awful lot of threads these days seem to be little more than lists of complaints about the thread. Ho hum.

putrid correctness guarantees this thread will crash and burn. it is a highly unusual and noteworthy situation, and therefore worthy of linking. the poster didn't say 'check out this fat disgusting pigbitch', he said 'a whole lotta woman', which she is. had she weighed 47, 'not much of a woman' would be an appropriate comment. you schmucks are so entangled in your stupid political correctness you can't even marvel at the world anymore.

Wow, you're right quonsar. What an amazing world we live in! Some people are fat!

It's not about being politically correct. It's about the fact that most of us got over gawking at fat people when we were kids.

no, quonsar, we're just tired of the inevitable flame-outs this type of post creates.

yeah, now that you're grown up you just stare icily down your nose and sniff at everything YOU didn't post. congratulations on reaching adulthood.

Thanks a million, Quonsar. Can I ask why you posted the picture? What does that achieve?

Fat people are funny!

And they're good to make fun of because they can't exactly chase you down!

Frankly, I'm amazed the human body can even get that big. So much for blowing off the gym tonight.

That situation is sad, appalling, and morbidly fascinating.

"Jô" began piling on weight at the age of 15, thanks to massive daily candy, cake, and Coca- Cola binges. (quonsar's link)

Gah! Again, sad, appalling, and morbidly fascinating. I guess we shouldn't talk about it though, out of pity for the poor poor people who's lives are so difficult. Is this the same(meaning as bad) as making fun of retarded children, or something? The last few jokes are disgusting, but I've heard them before. I guess I'm amused by it at some level due to the absurdity of any human being weighing more than 500 pounds. And for me, absurd means funny.
