Wow! Those are really nifty. At first I didn't see the barcodes, but then I saw the trend. And right in time for a wallpaper change, too!

I wonder what this person finds so compelling about a series of lines, though?

Hidden meaning! Barcodes are so cool. Anyone know anything about the impending switch-over from 12 to 13 lines?

Interesting stuff. Reminds me of the the spoof ad in the postcards section on adbusters.

puffin:

I think it's their logo, actualy. My guess is that it's simply their name in ascii or something.

It's not a fetish. It's a trademark of one of the first web design studios in Russia. You can see it on every picture.

This site lets you create your own barcodes. (Did I find that link on MeFi? I don't recall.) But I don't know of a cut-n-paste barcode recoder.

This is really cool, thanks for the link! It's sort of a non-threatening schizophrenic 'delusion of reference', like those Absolut Vodka ads.

The road under the Beatles was the color of barcodes, tuned to a not yet existing product.

I like the flag. It's very jaunty and swiss.
