I'd expect something more than 4 ports on something called "Hubzilla". Like - 20 or 30. Now that is what I'd call a monster hub.

actually I own both. They are pretty cool devices. Hello kitty is more than a hub...its animatronic and moves as well as types mrroring your key strokes.

The firewire hub is slight ly more expensive than a regular firewire hub...but unlikely kitty, does not move at all...just its mouth and eyes glow. What more do you need?

Hubzilla includes: Hubzilla. I wonder how much Hubzilla will cost, hopefully his price will be more in line with his capabilities than that little 2 port Hello Kitty thing. Of course, neither goes with my office decor. I need an art deco wall sconce hub. Anyone wanna try their hand at building one?

I heard that there's a new Nimbus 2000 FireWire hub coming out as well. It vibrates when data passes through it... I'll see if I can find any reviews on Amazon.

While I don't have any experience with their hardware, I can say first hand that Charismac's Discribe is about the most horrible piece of software I've ever used. It came with my first CD burner, the Sony Spressa, which is pretty horrible in its own right. Mac users: avoid these products at all costs.

I would highly recommend Yamaha CD writers as I've owned several over the years (two SCSI and one Firewire) and I have been completely satisfied with them. As for burning on a Mac - Toast. Always been the best, still is. The OS X disc burning capabilities are nice for quick on-the-fly stuff but when you absolutely, positively need to control the process - Toast.

RevGreg: Word. I've been using Toast for the last couple of years and it's been a rock. And I recently ditched that Spressa turd and got a Firewire burner made by APS Tech. It's awesome, except for the fact that when it spins up, it sounds like it's about to fly out the window.
