The Cacophony Society "In a sense, we never create anything new at all. We never claim to come into a town and teach people how to be amusingly subversive. They're already doing it! We just raise the bogus flag, and see who will gather under the flagpole for further mischief."

Uhh, song this a long time ago. I think was around 14 or 15. Still nice to be reminded of it.

The most random thing I've done lately is singing Christmas carols from a moving car on a busy night downtown.

Maybe I should have asked, "What wacky social clubs do you know of?" or "Anyone have a favorite social club?" :)

I love these nutty people, bunktone - particularly the L.A. lodge. They are the group that used to organize Santarchy shindigs every year. They have a hilariously demented bent. Not sure if I'd want to participate, but makes for some fun surfing ...Zombies for Gore, Kakaphony Klownsex Klub, Bingo in the Pet Cemetary, Lust in Space.

Wacky people - long live laughter, creative social protest and bacchanalia, as long driving isn't involved.

Quixotic Idiosyncracies - madam - that describes me. None of the lodges are around my area. I might have to start my own.

Hmmm ... around 1980, I met a few people in the City with similar leanings who were calling themselves The Suicide Club. One of them was the real Malaclypse the Younger who came to a costume gathering as a slug - the costume consisted of trash bags and vaseline.

I should not reveal this, but I can't resist. The deaths of Daniel Lippert and Peter Geiberger are a joke. I played chess with Peter two Saturdays ago, and although he plays as badly as ever, he is alive.

As we say in LA Cacophony--HA ha.
