Stupidest eBay auction ever.

This eBay auction is for $21.43 in cash. The winning bid was $90.00. The buyer's feedback makes it sound like they actually paid for it. I have no further comment.
This post was deleted for the following reason: Not really all that interesting
Did you not like the auction or something?

If only there were some other site on the internet where weird auctions from eBay were posted... why hasn't someone done that, it would be great!!!

Yeah, highlighting weird auctions is so 2001.

Hmm... Money laundering, perhaps?
I'm not sure if Jonson was just being snarky, but here is a site that posts nothing but weird eBay auctions.

The weird thing is... My friends and I had said that if we were eccentricly rich we would auction of money, but always figured people would pay less, rather than more for it.

I would have preferred it if rick's item description had been much more limited. Perhaps something like "21 dollars and 43 cents. Unwanted gift. Thought someone else might fight it handy."

Looks like he posted another auction a week later, but lightning didn't strike twice. The high bid was $19.53 and the reserve price wasn't met.
Darn, another money-making eBay idea down the drain.

Maybe lightning didn't strike at all:

Here's another and I'm sure I've seen more. Just not interested enough to google.
Seriously, what's with the fascination? Just because it's for sale on that crazy interweb? Go to your local swap meet, there are weird things for sale there too. Nobody's making a big deal about it there.
"Look at me! I'm so clever! I can sell weird things in public without having to leave the comfort of my computer desk!"
When are people gonna get over the newness of it all and just start using it?

Weird auctions, codewords and private auctions are used to move drugs, weapons, industrial secrets, and nuclear materials.
You didn't hear it from me though.

MeFi worthy: Not really
Sorry Potsy but eBay is full of weird auctions, I think MeFi really needs to stop highlighting weird auctions.
