Clothing for the maturity-challenged?

Clothing for the maturity challenged? Foreverakid.com is a Canadian site which offers "adult baby" clothing, for those "grown-ups" who still crave of feeling like toddlers or babies again (probably those former rebellious youngsters who finally realized adulthood sucks and want their childhood back). Everything from diapers to pajamas to sailor suits is all here. (Note: The site has a "18+" warning but there are only pics of adults in baby clothing - which still is weird enough to warrant a warning of some kind)

Oh God, I read that as "adult baby cloning"...

That is just weird. Not as weird as furverts, but really close.

Well, that's a perfect post from which to segue into this Flash thing. (speakers up!)

As goofy as this is, I thank you eternally, since I have searched footie pajamas in my size forEVER. Just because I like them. Also, "footie pajamas" is very much fun to say.

Thanks to the Net and broadband, there are a great many things I will never be able to "un-see". While many of these involved far more extreme behavior, nothing makes my flesh crawl like Adult babies. Is my revulsion to these ersatz tots another trip through... The Uncanny Valley?

Hmmm, that last line would sound great voiced by Rod Serling.

OK, I'm gonna be weird and go out on alimb and say that this isn't that strange. Some people seem like little tiny adults from the time they're born, other people are not well suited to adult life(I speak as one).

People deal with this in a lotta different ways. People take jobs beneath their educational level or intelligence. People surround themselves with "childish things": toys, comics, candy. Half the people I know in their late 20's and early thirties wear clothes like t-shirts, Chuck Taylors, overalls, jeans, baby barettes, pigtails & braids--in other words, kid clothes or at least, say, teenager clothes.

This forever-a-kid bunch is just being a little more baltant about it and taking it to it's outer limits. Seems fairly harmless, esp when you compare it to the things other people do when faced with the same crises--alcoholism, domestic violence etc.

This isn't supposed to be wacky, it's supposed to be kinky.

I'm just glad that now I can finally stop having to picture that image of the bearded-fat-guy-in-front-of-the-computer whenever I think of quonsar. Now, I can just picture this.

Thanks, quonsar! Sleep tight!

Footie PJs ... As somebody who sleeps in sweatshirts and sweatpants in the winter, and has to get up and find slippers for that late-night pee mission, footies would be mighty convenient.

Eeeeek! The manufacturer/retailer lives within a half-hour drive of me.

(In a very small town of about 1000 people, to boot. No wonder everyone in the photos looks self-conscious: the neighbours are bound to find out!)

I think it was Mark Twain who said something like:

"At a young age, boys start to imitate men, and continue to do so for the rest of their lives."

though for the LIFE of me I can't find it anywhere...

I want my childhood back. But I don't think I want my infancy back. What a peculiar kink!

Hey, some people have alternative lifestyles where they like to be treated as children, dressed up, and dominated by a stronger partner that mothers them.

I mean, we can all understand and tolerate other people's lifestyles, right?

Not that *I* would ever want to go back to diapers, of course. I'm still trying to get the three year old to fully potty train, I'm so sick and tired of those blasted things.

And I'm too much a slave to GAP and Old Navy fashion.

Absolutely. But that doesn't preclude ruthless mockery, does it? Or does tolerance and understanding require respectful silence? Cuz that's boring. Also, as a much maligned anime geek I want some of my own back!
