Backlash Against the Nerds?

Heaping abuse on the public policy nerds. While MeFi'ers discuss which Breakfast Club character they were in high school, a writer for the Wall Street Journal claims that the assault by adults on SUVs and their owners is just another manifestation of high school nerd resentment against the jocks. But is the WSJ missing the more subtle (and more amusing) tripartite jock/nerd/drama snob dynamic? Is our dispute over drug policy a proxy fight between Prozac-taking nerds, abstemious jocks, and MDMA-popping drama snobs?
