Moscow Offers Plan to Prevent War and Rescue Saddam I post this from DEBKA because though it relates to the overworked Iraq war, it is neither pro or con but rather presents a plan which may prevent a war, checkmate Bush, or add a further complication.
I post this knowing in advance that many comments will say "there he goes again with DEBKA," but in my counting this source has been right more often by far than it has been wrong, and we do know that Putin, Germany, and France are looking for a way to prevent a US takeover of Iraq.
Thus, if you are about to post some remarks badmouthing DEBKA or me, please find your own link to post and save me from getting embroiled in nasty exchanges.
This of course does not mean you ought not be critical of what is here posted as a worthwhile (or not) plan. It means simply try to address the issue presented.
