Calcified intra-abdominal pregnancy

This is the worst thing on the web? I have seen a lot of bad things, but let us all work together to remove these images of a dead, calcified intra-abdominal pregnancy.

Why? You evidently want people to look at them.

Contact info for this site is here. Remember, your kids could find this and they will be traumatized. While we're at it, this Jarvis Model 3Hd Electric-Hydraulic Hog Head Splitter makes me sick. I'm not a vegetarian but, come on, that is horrid!

Pretty_Generic, I want adults to know so they can protect their kids. Pretty simple. This is just the sort of stuff that when I was in grade 4 I used to try to find at the county library. It made me have nightmares, and I think it caused problems later. What is wrong with IDing stuff we know we don't want to see? What, does everyone want to watch the 9/11 video again? Even adults can't handle that!

Double post. Regardless, this site is a medical resource, mostly for professionals. Johnny, your call to arms is stranger than the photos, and quite misguided.

It made me have nightmares, and I think it caused problems later.

Now this is something I wholeheartedly agree with.

johnnydark has been reading too much blort. someone ought to get that site shut down.
posted by quonsar at 4:53 AM on March 16, 2003

Everyone contribute their most horrific link. Then jonnydark will be able to bookmark this page and delete the bookmark in righteous protest.
posted by Pretty_Generic at 4:54 AM on March 16, 2003

not only that, but johnnydark is linking to an image from blort on his user page. that tends to piss me off. anything may happen.

In this picture, it looks like a modern art scultpure to me... *shrug*

Maybe we could get him to shutdown t*****l.com, that I could agree with. This is an interesting medical resource.

No, you're a regular little ray of sunshine.

'lets work together'

are you retarded?

why are you posting this here?

i could in 15 seconds find images of many things more horrific and post them to metafilter. but i don't. because I'm not a moron.

an admin should remove this thread.

blort is like a hydraulically powered spinal cord remover (Meets national and international requirements for hygiene and safety.)

"This is the worst thing on the web?"

No. That title goes to the story on your user page.
I vote to delete.

'lets work together to remove'

Huh? Say what?

When did MetaFilter become a 'police the internet' site?

If your objection is "I want adults to know so they can protect their kids. " I've got this really radical idea....its called "sit with your kids when they surf the web rather than let the computer be a proxy babysitter".

Rather than delete the thread because of the lameness of the request to 'police the net' as suggested by balinx, the thread could be turned into a 'why censorship is bad' and use Johhnydark's viewpoint as proof.

My contribution to censorship -> point s to John Ashcroft

As long as this thread's getting deleted, worse thing:

obviously not safe for work (but who works on sunday?)

Just a troll, nothing to comment on here, please move along...

wow, I assumed the call for its removal was just a joke, but was gonna make a comment that if you think that's the worst of the web, you must be fresh off the bus...

I found that really interesting actually.

it's amazing how fast johnnydark replaced the quonsar-hosted tiny upside-down american flag image with that fratboy essay once i substituted this 120x90 crop of the goatse.cx gape [not safe for eyes] for the original image. trust me, it looked great on his userpage!
posted by quonsar at 7:06 AM on March 16, 2003

ah crap. it's a .gif, not a .jpg.
posted by quonsar at 7:09 AM on March 16, 2003

I thought that it was interesting. I didn't think it was at all disturbing, actually. The video of the kitten being killed and eaten -- now that was disturbing.

Pics within this article are chilling.

Ditto the words.

wow. that jarvis site is pretty amazing in itself. the instruments remind me of the movie Dead Ringers.

Please, there's tons worse on rotten.com.

Personal favorite mantra: The only thing that ought to be censored is censorship itself.

mdn: I also think johny's post might have been sarcasm.

This is from obgyn.net, a medical web site.

Listen, johnnydark, you might be one of those morons who think that medicine is the "devil's art", but I think it's safe to say that most people not in John Asscroft's rolodex don't quite fit into that category.

If it was an attempt at sarcasm, well, you need more practice at it.

Actually since everyone's going through the Jarvis site now, here's my favorite -- the Jarvis Bung Dropper!
