War Covergage Gets Crankified

Some Friday fun. Mr. Cranky, hollywood's surliest film critic, takes a stab at the war news coverage. I thought I was the only one disturbed by the perma-smile on Lester Holt's face. Tongue in cheek, but as Homer J. Simpson would say, It's funny because it's true.

So absolutely true!! Great post. It's hideous that our media is treating this war as the ultimate in reality tv.

When it first started, I found myself turning into a "war whore." I just couldn't keep myself from watching all the coverage. But after losing much sleep and starting to see all the ridiculousness of the constant coverage, I only tune in at night just to get caught up on anything "important." I can't watch MSNBC anymore though. Holt's smile while he is reporting grim realities is beyond disturbing. Forget that journalists are supposed to be objective and non-emotional. Why aren't his producers screaming in his ear piece to wipe the grin off his face? It's just creepy.

It's enough the scare the teeth right out of Ann Coulter's vagina.

Bwahahaha!...[cough] That's really funny. And I have to add my vote to the chorus of creepouts over Lester Holt's lip curl.

FOX NEWS:
Like an Iraqi soldier dressed in civilian clothes, Fox News has crept in under the false cover of objectivity to unleash a blitzkrieg of bias so right wing that channel-surfers often mistake it for a eugenics infomercial.

Beautiful. Thanks, archimago.

Surliest? Obviously you've never read The Filthy Critic . His review of Driven is the best movie review I've ever read.

Mr. Cranky is really not very funny or smart about movies. Sad with such a high-profile. His taste is even worse than Harry Knowles'.
