That site loads so slowly that he must be getting the images of those ships from a webserver somewhere in a galaxy far, far away.

This site gives me the urge to go read a bunch of Culture novels for the descriptions of ginormous interstellar artifacts.

It gave me the urge to see if me or some of my comrades in arms might be up on the net, but it looks like Chris Lynas's renderings of ROU's have been taken down. But there are some cool renderings of little Clear Air Turbulence and a shot or two of bits of GSV at Grey Area.

The site is way cool, but it would have been cool to see some at least half-assed renderings of stuff from books too: Culture ships, a Xeelee nightwing, a Heechee 5, Lying Bastard and Hot Needle of Inquiry, a nice big Orbital, and behind everything, Ringworld. Oh, and Michael from Footfall.

mark13: Yeah, totally, dood. 'Cause like, a Babylon 5 vs. Blakes 7 flamewar would blow a Star Trek vs Star Wars flamewar out of the water! Like, the Trek guys would get all confused 'cause the Federation are the bad guys on B7, and then a couple of those huge Minbari war cruisers would like vapourise the Death Star. That would be soo cool.

why is the EPVI death star so much bigger than the 1st one. If they can both blow up planets surely it would be more effective to have lots of smaller ones instead of one big one? No wonder they got beaten by a bunch of singing dwarf bears....amateurs

Wow. I always thought the Jawas' sandcrawler was one hell of a lot bigger than that, at least five times larger.

Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer is lovingly rendered. It made me wish that there were top/bottom and bow/stern views as well as starboard ones, but you can't have everything, I guess.
