Responses to Bush's 2003 "State of the Union" Address put together by the folks at IPA expands the analysis of the speech a bit beyond the yellowcake issue. (Via Plastic)

There are a lot of unanswered discrepancies in Bush's SOTU. It's sad that the media engine only has the attention span to deal with 16 words at a time.

You can bet that this January's SOTU will be a lot drier and more defensible. Anything else will turn into Democratic hopeful campaign fodder the next morning.

Durwood: I'm sorry that presidential accountability is boring to you. Take some more valium and drift back into your complacency. Sorry we disturbed you.

That's right, durwood... go back to sleep... everything's fine... hush little baby, everything's gonna be just fine.

Yawn...

Is that going to be Bush's 2004 slogan? Though, for what it's worth, I can understand why one's enthusiasm would wane in your situation: you got fooled even when all the stupid fruity commies loonball lefties didn't. That must hurt.

Well, I'm off to get a colonic from Jane Fonda.

Yawn..

Right! How dare anyone question our great and fearless leader!

I read this and just see red. I'm sick to death of our country going down the toilet whilst Durwood takes a nap and others dismiss a document like this out of hand as "liberal bunkum" or "liberal bias" or whatever.

People, Durwood, etc, look around you. Really, really look. We're in serious danger here and yet anyone who dare point it out or question what is going on is immediately assumed to be liberal or anti-Patriotic or whatever.

Christ.

Thanks, mss, and everyone else who's posted related information from credible sources. I've been sending off an average of two e-mails a day to people I know in the media. I have no idea how to convince Joe Six-Pack that his president lied and that yes, it's worse than lying about sex, but I can't let this go; it's just too important.

Just so long as she's dressed like Barbarella and smoking Essence of Man while she does it, do whatever you want, man.
