It feels like an lesson in math wrapped in a 'game'. Edutainment? Entercation?

was perfect giving change back, had 15 total customers, 5 shoplifters??? never saw them. Wasn't on the phone during my shifts either.

no. there are no human beings remaining in the usa who are capable of making and counting back change. none. and people in retail get real annoyed and stare at you as if you had just beamed in from andromeda if you question the mumbo jumbo they DO chant as they thrust your change, receipt and all, at you in one crumpled handful.

What really dumfounds clerks is when I pay for a $15 item with a $20 and a $5; they really don't know what to do.

Small math problem with their math problem:

13 Customers served
9 received proper change
3 received too much
2 received not enough
...
drawer total was 804.51
should have been 804.51

Two problems I see here. #1, 9 + 3 + 2 is uhhhh, yeah. Also, ripping off people and rewarding others is fine as long as your drawer balances?

m@: You've obviously never worked retail. A balanced drawer excuses all sins.

14 customers, all received perfect change. Thank you very much. Why can't I get a job?

Somehow, counting back change was never as hard when I actually did it for a living. I don't know if it was recent practice or the lack of annoying music in the background.

23 customers, 4 thieves, no errors, $1000+, and that's using funny money too. Long years of bar work too blame.
