Now I'm gonna drill you!

Moms Insisting on Licensed Tools. They're cheaply made. They're easily available. They're surreptitiously sold at clandestine "garage sales" and out of the trunks of cars. They are used in more criminal building projects than any other tool. Yes, we're talking about "Saturday Night Drills."

Unfunny joke based on very weak analogy. Next, please.

HA. Ha. ha.

Sooo much effort, so little comedy. Maybe if I lived in the USA?

I'm keep trying to come up with a polite way of saying "this post is not funny".

On preview, I am not alone...

MILT is uncannily similar to MILF. Maybe they're trying to imply something.

MILT? Isn't that fish semen?

Sheesh - they could at least pick a better acronym...

Oh, I get it. A drill could be used as a weapon, and thus is no different from an assault rifle.

How did I never make this connection before?

*sigh*

Everyone in his guestbook thinks it's real.

Well, I wasn't entirely sure it was a joke until I saw the photo on this page.

We were neither "protected" nor "secure" on September 11, 2001 because politicians have violated the Constitution by depriving Americans of their 2nd Amendment-guaranteed rights to self-defense against terrorists and other criminals

Can anyone make the case that if it was legal for anyone and everyone to carry a gun onto a plane, the 9/11 disasters would have been prevented?
posted by pitchblende at 1:31 PM on September 15, 2003

Well, sure, pitchblende. The terrorists were only carrying box cutters. They would have been mowed down in an instant!

Hmm.

YES.

jpoulos is the only one of you super-intellectuals who actually got the joke.

Are the people in the guestbook for real, or is just a satire-within-a-satire? People really couldn't possibly be that stupid in real life, could they?

/actually, that second question's rhetorical

I'm not sure what I saw on that site. Do you have to be hammered to get the joke? Or do you need to drill down a bit? I don't think they're on the level.

I don't think they're on the level.

I think you nailed it.
