My girl insists she saw a sign advertising lawnmower races out near Laceyville, PA. I never believed her... until now.

You should always believe your girl.. at least to her face.

And of course how can we forget the British Lawn Mower Museum or the international Meetup dot com page for Lawn Mower Racing Fans! ...well apparently it's not all that popular after all. I also found a link from Australia but it was already out of gas.

I'm tempted to hold one of these at my house. Followed, of course, by rug shampooer racing.

It's a bit of a drive from Laceyville (60 miles) but they hold lawn mower races at Greenwood Valley Action Track in Millville, PA. My brother broke and front spindle and rolled a tractor doing nearly 60 miles an hour there once. He was banged up and sore but walked away...he also doesn't race anymore! They only wear a helmet and neck brace and they really scream around the track, I think they're fucking crazy but it's fun to watch.

Sixty miles an hour on a lawn tractor? Boggles the mind. Go John Deere go!
