Maggot Art. "A fantastic new teaching tool for use in the elementary school setting. Children get hands-on experience with insects that most people find truly disgusting -- maggots -- while creating a beautiful piece of artwork to share with others."
*shudders.* I know I should be more adult about this, but with apologies to you, lola, and the original poster (wow - can't believe I missed that one), I will be clicking on a link for maggot art on the same day a dozen wooly mammoths freeze to death in hell's boiler room.
/really, really, really squeamish about the "m" word (and I've eaten snake and alligator... and clicked on the menstrual art link.)

lola, thanks for the link because i missed it the first time around. the resulting artwork is kind of nice, but what happened to blowing ink around a sheet of paper with a straw? what are we teaching our kids when we tell them to dip worms in ink and let THEM do all the work while we kick back and watch? "slave labor is okay when it's another species doing the work for you?" is there something cautionary to take away from all of this? or are we merely teaching them about etymology? anyhow, thanks for the fun link! :)

I just saw "Lost Boys" again a couple weeks ago... (I was in Austin, TX, and got to experience Mr. Sinus Theater at the Alamo Drafthouse - most fun I've had while traveling on business in a long time)
I have had issues eating rice ever since.
Please. Enough with the maggots.
