British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Dr. Michael Stroud just completed an extraordinary feat: they're running seven marathons. On seven continents. In seven days. It's all to benefit the British Heart Foundation, and it wound up today with the New York Marathon.

Ach. There's only two reasons to run 26 miles. One, you're chasing a broad, or two the police are chasing you. And even then a car is preferable.

Sir Ranulph is 59, and had double bypass heart surgery this summer.

That is a truly amazing accomplishment. Meanwhile, the cruelty of the fates dictates that the majority of spectators of the marathon were probably most interested in seeing P. Diddy.
