A vote for Bush is a vote for terrorism

More Foreign (Terrorist) Leaders Want Bush Reelected A statement sent to the Arabic language daily al-Hayat by the terrorist group Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades said it supported President Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader "more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom."

The trick of the negative endorsement.....

"Please! Let's go back to wisdom! Because when you were using wisdom, we weren't getting shot at, and could pursue our agenda with impunity!"

Clearly, they want to endorse Bush so that he will win...

Or they want to fool us by pretending to endorse Bush so that Kerry will win!

Or they know that we will assume that they are falsely endorsing Bush so that Kerry will win and thus we will vote for Bush, as they want!

Or they assume that we will come to the above conclusion, thus voting for Kerry, JUST AS THEY WANT!

I say let's boycott the election, conpletely destroying al Qaeda's plans!

Unless they think we will come to that conclusion and they want us to not vote, in which case we should...

Aha -- but what if it is Bush himself who has used secret agents to put out this endorsement, so that we will think the terrorists are trying to trick us into thinking you want him to win when in fact I want him to lose!

Inconceivable!
The terrorists want us to think that we should vote for Kerry, because they know that in so saying, we will vote for Bush, which is exactly what they want.
Never go up against a Sicilian when an election is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha *dies*

PFB: a duplicate film reference in a duplicate post. It just doesn't get any more exciting than this.

Before we get into "Republicans/Democrats are the party of the terrorists!" I think an interesting thing to remember is that Al-Qaeda adheres to what is most accurately described as a Fantasy Ideology. Their goal is to create a mass civilization war between the Muslim world and the west. Osama Bin Laden has explicitly discussed getting back at the west for the "tragedy of Andalusia" when the Spanish defeated the Muslim presense in Spain, ending their 700-year presence there-- for bin Laden, the goal of Islam is to reverse the tide that turned back the reach of Muslim empires since the beginning of the Renaissance.

In this sense, some of Bush's rhetoric has been interpreted both by some of Bush's more rabid supporters and islamic extremists as being in favor of destruction of "Islamofascists" and the occupation and westernizing of Muslim civilization. As a consequence, I can see how some Muslim extremist groups might see Bush as an attractive vessel to "bring it on" when it comes to this fantasical apocalyptic clash between Islam and the West.

Be sure to read the 3/21/04 comic. The funny thing is that Mallard Fillmore is such a conservative strip. I am betting this was written before the news item in question.

VIZZINI "But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine it from what I know of you. Are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemies? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you ... But you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me."

Maybe they're just saying Bush is an idiot and taunting him.

It's not like the kind of people who engage in terrorism have a good grasp of the long view, of thinking things through and working, rationally and in an informed manner toward some carefully calculated grand design of how the future will be, with plans and counter-plans for various circumstances, dizzying in design and complexity.

It mostly seems to be a matter of the blow shit up and see what happens school of manipulation.

Bush stoopid. Hur hur. Vote for him you stoopid peepl. We like kill peepl.

Bush secured the support of ALL the domestic terrorists years ago
in the past few years have the foreign terrorists come onboard.
Bush, uniting the world in their disdain for him.

Are you talking about the terrorists, or Bush?

Seems to apply fairly well either way.
