Tool Use in Animals

Tool Use In Animals, a tidy little informative set of pages from Dr. Robert Cook's much larger “Animal Cognition & Learning Website” at Tufts University. See also (worth repeating because it’s the coolest thing ever) the previously featuredBetty the Crow”.   ◊via milovoo in Ask MetaFilter

Interesting post.

One minor quibble: can I suggest that you not format the primary link of your post in larger letters? The reader can already tell that it's the most important link in the post (because it's the first link), and an unnecessary visual emphasis on that link, on a page where no other links are similarly emphasized, makes it seem as if you think the subject of "Tool Use in Animals" is the most important thing on the entire front page.

(Of course, it may well be, but that's open to debate.)

Yeah, I've decided that was a mistake, too. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Interesting post indeed, especially the first link but, bugger me, what an ugly site!

Tufts, eh?

I wonder if that conniving bastard Dennett had anything to do with this.

Stabs at Tufts faculty aside, good post, on a fascinating subject.

Whee! I forget that biology stuff is sometimes interesting enough for the blue. Good stuff! I learned about this primarily from David Attenborough's Life on Earth and probably Life of Birds too, can't recommend them highly enough.
