I took out a bunch of MeFi text ads to promote the site starting June 1.

I returned home a little bit ago today and checked my server logs. Holy crap! Numbers through the roof even more than they were this morning, after the Yahoo Pick of the Day. Many of the hits seem to be from Metafilter.

My first thought was, "I must have a click-through rate on those ads of like 400%. Matt's awesome! How'd he do that?"

(Thanks, anastasiav, for the link.)

Yes! Konglish! I have a couple books about Konglish on my huge list of books-I-wish-I-was-rich-enough-to-buy-all-at-once-so-I-could-roll-around-in-them, but field reports are good, particularly if they point me to print sources. You can either use the submit form on the site, or drop me an email. No promises when or if I'll get to or use anything sent, because I already have more than 100 candidate words in the hopper and I add another half-dozen or so every day. It takes a while to research what's worth pursuing further and what isn't.
