Who said the following? Don't clck yet. You can have three guesses.
My job tonight is an easy one: to present to you one of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders — and a good friend. ...

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Senator John Kerry.

As long as we're going with 3-day-old news, just visit Zell's senate site. It's been up there since 2001. (Via TPM.)

If both sides keep this little game up, you're going to be even more screwed than you already are. People change their minds occasionally. Republicans and Democrats both need to just get the hell over it.

what, no comment on waffling?

oh well, i'm just votting the lesser of two evils anyway and didn't really pay any attention to either of the national conventions...because it's not like they'll say anything or follow through on anything they say.

Well, you know what they say, it is the prerogative of every Democrat to change her mind.

Funny, I could find no one else who says that or any alternatives.

Classic right wing approach, david, dismiss and discount when you can't effectively rebut.
posted by prodigalsun at 1:25 PM on September 4, 2004

Sorry, whom did I dismiss and discount, and what was I supposed to rebut? That Zell Miller is guilty of pulling a John Kerry or something?
posted by David Dark at 1:57 PM on September 4, 2004

David Dark, prodigalsun, there's only one way to resolve this.

Maybe you should just stop pulling a George W. Bush in this thread or something.

And if you want to get into the flip flop flim flam, you'd get served by an immovable force called truth. The silly notion that one should never change their mind, especially given a rapidly changing environment is plain ignorance. George W. Bush is just as guilty of competing in the flip flop olympics.

I don't really blame Zell for his apparent turnabout. 9/11 was a cataclysmic moment for a lot of people.

But he is crazy. I'll admit that.

Maybe he is just a tired old man with dreams of being an Ambassador in his old age. Preferably in some country where he can have plenty of darkies at his beck and call.

Actually, what they say is "What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is."
