I'm sorry, this post was a bad idea. I still think the gallery is interesting from an (un)aesthetical point of view, but only if you leave away the context. Besides that, I don't want to push up the traffic. Matt, please delete the thread.

That portrait looks like Abdel-Aziz Rantissi, one of the dead leaders of HAMAS. Perhaps the bus bombing pictures are of the retaliatory attack.
