Bush Remixed It almost reminds me of an early Steve Reich. Kinda hypnotic.

After this, is this new post really necessary?

Is that a rhetorical question? Because the answer is: No. It is not necessary.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. But it does capture the sensation I got from watching and listening to GWB at the debate -- that the man's interior is a spooky place.

I don't mean this as the usual Bush-is-an-idiot stuff; I mean the man's motivations and thinking have become so off-key and removed from reality that he sounds slightly ill, like he's under hypnosis. I think of Nixon, alone in the White House, right before his resignation, or of LBJ in some of the phone calls that have been released in recent years, moaning about the Negroes and his pants crimping his nutsack.

Lord only knows, if I'd somehow rogered my own nation as royally as Bush has in Iraq, I'd probably disappear from the material world as well.

The debate was last week; you can quit gloating now. Save that energy for the vice-presidential debate fallout. You just know Cheney is going to say something dickish.

And this sounds more like Language Removal Services than Steve Reich.

Damnit, when I keep seeing these "remix" posts I want to hear Bush put to a heavy house beat so I can tune out to my iTunes Visualizer and get into the groove that Bush was really striving for.

He's not stuttering, he's rapping.

Anyway, yeah, let's get ready for Dick against Little John.

The face of evil versus the face of Gomer's college edumacated brother. I like Kerry, I'm still learnicating Edwards.

That actually makes me feel sorry for the poor bastard. Who'd'a thunk it?

I really enjoyed that. It's as if the final meaning, the whole essense really, of the debate, were distilled into several minutes of lulling diction, confused hesitant words like reluctant nails being pushed, not hammered, into a coffin.
