Christ's Entry Into Washington 2008 is a painting by Joel Pelletier featuring a cast of 121 contemporary characters and a theme of fundamentalism on the march. The work is modeled after Christ's Entry Into Brussels 1899, a mural by James Ensor. (via cioran63)

Dunno, ?!, the fact that Bush lies a lot makes it more plausible to me that he does believe in God. Otherwise there would be the question of why there is such a disconnect between what he does and what are usually considered Christian virtues.

Can't tell if the painting is celebratory or critical. Interesting. He certainly knows his stuff- he's got folks carrying signs of Francis Schaeffer, John Nelson Darby and Rousas John Rushdoony, men who helped create the theological clusterfuck that is fundamentalism/evangelicalism.
Note how very few black people are in this march, but yet Alan Keyes is one of them.
And who are in all those coffins?

What the hell is going on here? What's with all the coffins? Why is there a Fox News van? Who's the skeleton dude with the top hat on?
My guesses are that the coffins are those who've died in wars that the current administration has started (to consolidate their power?), the vans represent the role of the news media in perpetuating the viewpoint which gives Bush et. al. their power, and the skeleton represents the death of ‘traditional’ American values.

I don't know for sure, but I think that's oil, not blood, coming from Condi. The drawing seems to depict her as the giant maidenhead of the oil tanker that Chevron named in her honor.

To me, it looks like some weird Howard Finster - Ralph Steadman hybrid. Even the dog looks like a supply-sider, though it lacks the requisite flag lapel-pin.
Really, this is worth going over with a magnifier. I can make out Wal-Mart and Carlyle Group banners, and other banners reading "Remember 9/11" (under the large crucifix) and "One Nation under God" off to the left. And the multiple pins on Murdoch's lapel, too.
It's an illustrated DSM-IV when you get right down to it.
