Look! Up in the sky!

The ESA tells you how to see the International Space Station. Enter your location, and they'll give you times, tell you which direction to look, and provide a star map. And after you've seen it (and taken a picture of it), you can log it as a geocache find.

Heavens Above will also guide you to ISS viewing (& other artificial satellites).

Very cool. I'll watch for it at 5:58 tonight. Thanks, Vidiot.

Seeing the ISS is very very awesome. Feels spiritual.

By the way, I assume UFO sightings have rocketed since the ISS was constructed, right?

Unfortunately, there are no actual pictures on that website of what you might expect to see, so I did a little Googling and found these shots of the ISS taken from Earth with a 10" reflector.

Cloudy. Dang.

But I will NOT be deterred!

If you go to the geocaching page linked above, there are links to pictures. Here are three.

Looks like we can expect to see a fast-moving bright star with the naked eye.
